Things to Look Forward To

It’s been a busy few months behind the scenes here at Island Blue Gallery as we work towards fully reopening in the Spring.

We have been away to three of the main trade shows during January and February, it’s always good to catch up with many of our talented suppliers along with adding some new artists and creators to our ever evolving mix!

Carla, Pam and myself had a particularly productive and inspiring visit to the Top Drawer show at Olympia this January. It’s a really great quality show and it’s particularly good to see some of our favourite book publishers there. The range of incredible new book titles that are published every month never ceases to amaze. As in recent years we are very much concentrating on wellbeing, photography/art and highly original children’s titles as our core mix of books along with a few surprises thrown into the mix! On the picture side of the gallery we will be adding to the selection of affordable art that we are becoming known for, and of course the Jolomo room will be portraying as many different aspects of John’s work available in print or other forms of merchandise.

We will be updating with more news as we go into the Spring, it’s always a good sign to see the primroses Pam was planting outside the gallery last week now in full bloom. Longer, warmer days are not that far away!
